The Zimbabwean YouTube industry is on the rise, so we thought it would be fitting for us to shout out 10 Zimbabwean YouTubers to look out for in 2024. The past few years have seen an increase in interest of content creation and, although the market has a long way to go before reaching the status that it deserves within Zimbabwe, YouTube (and content creation in general) in Zimbabwe is on the up and up. Even the quality of video content and editing is improving at a vast rate. And we love to see it! In terms of the business of content creation across Africa, countries like South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya have made leaps and bounds with their growth in the industry, and Zimbabwe looks to be making a solid attempt at growing its local industry as well.

That being said, our list consists of YouTube content creators that we think are really elevating the Zimbabwean YouTube industry right now, to help make it more investible for brands, that you should check out. This list has content creators in varied disciplines, from lifestyle to tech and business. These YouTubers range from helpful and informative to just plain entertaining, and we want to share their content with you.

Quick Disclaimer

This list is obviously not exhaustive and we know that there are a plethora of Zimbabwean-centred YouTube channels, from comedy skit channels to news channels and even other lifestyle vloggers, (some that have hundreds of thousands of subscribers). But this is about channels that are somewhat quickly up-and-coming or successfully growing in the YouTube space that the team believe have potential to push the Zimbabwean YouTube content creation space further in a unique way, regardless of where their subscriber count or video equipment is now. Hence the title, “Editor’s Choice.”

This list is also based simply on entertainment and/or educational value. So if your fave isn’t listed, don’t take any offense on their behalf. In fact, comment who your favourite Zimbabwean YouTubers are so we can check them out if they aren’t on this current list. Now, in no particular order, here are the 10 Zimbabwean YouTubers to look out for in 2024 that have caught our eye so far.

The Editor’s Choice of 10 Zimbabwean YouTubers to look out for in 2024 (and some special mentions)

1. NeRutendo

NeRutendo

Kumbirai NeRutendo is a vlogger who currently resides in the United Kingdom and showcases her life as a young Zimbo just trying to navigate adulting. Vlogs are extremely popular for their relatability,- and Kumbirai certainly has the relatability aspect going for her, which is probably why her vlogs are of high interest amongst other Zimbabweans around the world. She’s also very open (within her boundaries, of course, which is necessary when it comes to the internet), and occasionally speaks on topics to motivate others in their careers and life.

2. Abigail Gee

Are you keen on “romanticising” your life? (We’ve been seeing that term floating around the internet streets quite a lot since 2023). If you are, then this channel might just be the one for you. Abigail is also a lifestyle vlogger and shares her career and social life as a young Zimbabwean who is aiming high and “romanticising” her life. It’s important to see young Zimbabweans who actually reside in Zimbabwe doing their best to live their life to the fullest, regardless of the numerous hindrances of the economy. Abigail is one of those Zimbabweans showcasing that you can live fully within the country, as long as you maintain a positive outlook on life and focus on your goals enthusiastically.

3. Prisca Ruvimbo

Prisca’s channel is just plain fun! She showcases her life in vlogs and is a generally bubbly person whose personality shows through the screen. Her main focus is lifestyle content with a little travel and some awesome Zimbabwe tourism destinations with cost breakdowns as well.

4. Kuda Online

Kuda Online is a channel that educates audiences on various side hustles and also skills to learn in order to maximise your earning potential. Needless to say, Kuda genuinely seems like a forward thinker, which is something you always want to see in anyone giving information on the internet. His channel is all about online entrepreneurship and online business, as stated in his bio. From information on how to apply for work outside of the country and IELTS preparation, to how to write your own e-book using AI, Kuda has a lot of helpful content for young entrepreneurs and anyone looking to expand their career.

5. Zim Tech Guy

Possibly Zimbabwe’s very own MKBHD? Maston, AKA Zim Tech Guy, reviews gadgets and other tech, giving insight into their specs and functions. He also does unboxings on his channel and provides the latest tech news, with an emphasis on relevance to Zimbabwe. With the high number of lifestyle channels, it’s a breath of fresh air to have something different that provides an educational, informative, and entertaining contribution to the space.

If you’re looking for personality and good vibes, Merelin Ngwenya’s channel is the one for you. Merelin is a lifestyle vlogger who resides in the city of Bulawayo. As mentioned before, she has a big personality but what stands out most about her channel is how authentic she is. There are no pretenses on this channel and that is always what makes any vlog channel truly engaging.

8. Work It Out With Rufaro

Our blog is mostly about entrepreneurship, careers and business, so the Work It Out With Rufaro channel definitely stood out to us. Knowledge is power. And Rufaro loves imparting that onto entrepreneurs and anyone looking for a side hustle or a business to start. She shares great business ideas and possible endeavours, which is awesome especially for Zimbabwean residents, who are always looking for clever ways to make extra cash.

9. Forever Mrs M

<yoastmark class=

Forever Mrs M’s channel is for the luxury, fashion-forward girls, in my opinion at least. It has a focus on beauty, fashion, and a little bit of lifestyle. But the high quality of the videos is what truly needs to be complimented about this channel. With YouTube having transformed from a simple space for everyday people to showcase whatever they wanted to, to a platform filled with cinematic mastery, it’s good to see a local effort to have enhanced video quality.

10. Sharron Mungazi

<yoastmark class=

Sharron has taken the phrase, “Consistency is key” to heart. A lot of YouTubers, and content creators in general, don’t give enough attention to their online efforts or start to slowly give up after they don’t see the results they want in the time frame they want. Lifestyle YouTuber, Sharron Mungazi, has decided to pursue her YouTube career with consistency, and it seems to really be paying off for her. She showcases her life, including being a mom and a fashion content creator/stylist.

However, he does have a YouTube channel that is growing. He already has over 100k followers on Instagram and is bound to carry that popularity forward onto his YouTube channel.

12. Tanaka Paula

Full disclaimer: This article was just about done when we discovered Tanaka’s channel. But we honestly couldn’t leave it off the special mention list because the quality of the content is fire! She’s currently on the road to 5000 subscribers and we highly doubt that she won’t hit that milestone soon. She’s a lifestyle vlogger who is well-suited for the younger demographic. She showcases University life and focuses on seeking spiritual guidance in Christ.
